OUTSIDE PROCESSING OVERVIEW
allows input and processing of purchase orders specifically for outside services rendered via a given process into one or more resultant products
three different situations are supported:
- one to one
- one to many
- many to one
e.g. - plating or painting of raw parts
- slitting of a master coil into smaller coils
- welding of several smaller parts into one unit
decrements inventory of input products and increments that of resultant products
correctly costs resultant products by adding input costs and incremental process costs
keeps track of inventory at each processor, and its (incremental) value
full reporting on value at each warehouse and processor
full reporting and inquiry on outstanding and historical Outside Process Orders
